As
Counselors, it is our goal to help the students at General Ricardo
Sanchez Elementary break down the barriers to academic achievement.
The Counseling Services Office offers a variety of programs to meet
this goal. These programs include:
• Individual counseling to help children develop strategies
to address social and academic concerns.
• Small group counseling to assist children with changing
family situations, social skills development, anger management,
and study skills.
• Classroom Guidance Lessons to help children learn positive
character traits, effective study habits, test taking strategies,
and conflict resolution skills.
• Parent Consultation to work with you in addressing your
child’s social, emotional, and academic needs.
• Referral Services to link families to other programs and
services in the community
