| The Office of Human Resources facilitates
the recruitment, screening, and selection of teachers and support staff for
the District by monitoring unfilled positions, developing a recruitment schedule,
collecting input from principals on staffing needs, preparing recruiting
materials, and participating in recruiting activities. This office also serves approximately 1,975 employees consisting of 785 teachers, 142 professional support staff including administrators, 531 paraprofessionals including 156 instructional aides, and 517 auxiliary workers. The Office of Human Resources oversees salary administration, processes employee complaints and grievances, reviews and develops personnel policies, manages school district policies, monitors the evaluation and recommendation process by distributing evaluation materials and establishing timelines, oversees the processing of teacher and paraprofessional certificates, manages the approved substitute teacher list, and maintains personnel records. In addition, the Office of Human Resources holds the New Teacher Orientation at the beginning of the school year and the Annual Recgonition Banquet at the end of the school year. The Office of Human Resources abides with rulemaking bodies by ensuring equal employment opportunity implementation and following State Board for Educator Certification and No Child Left Behind guidelines. |
