homework is issued everyday for Reading(except on Fridays)

A passage that must be read and done independently by the student.  homework must have the following strategies;

--Circle the title

--Box the first paragraph

--Underline the first sentence of every paragraph (after the first paragrph)

--Box in the last paragraph

--Read the paragraphs and write the main idea of every paragraph next the it.

--Re-read the story using the boxes and sentences with main ideas

--Answer the questions using elimations and There and Not There

News for February

Saturday 16th, 4th Graders have a trip to the Glady's Porter zoo at brownsville, Texas.  We will leave from La Union Elementary at 6;45a.m.  Returning at 3;30 p.m. Purpose of trip "TAKS Writing"

We will be participating in the Texas Department of State health Services in the Special Study Area for the 11th biennial Texas School Survey of Drug and Alcohol Use.  This survey will be conducted during February 11-15.

AR Reading will be finishing February 13th  Please have your child read and test to acquire a pizza party.

 

 

Notes to the Parents

Parents, make sure your child is reading every day.  Also they must do their homework and come prepare for school.  Please make sure they bring paper and pencils.
