Dear Parents:

This is a very important school year for your child! Please encourage him/her to do the very best on all assignments and come to school on time after a good night's sleep (at least nine hours, if possible!).

Homework:

Homework for your child every week will be the following:

  • Study the 15 Spelling words and the 6 Reading vocabulary words at least 15 minutes Monday through Thursday.
  • Read at least 3 Accelerated Reader library books at home Monday through Thursday each week. your child need to be ready to test on the computer for a score of 80% or higher during the week.
  • Study multiplication facts 1 through 12 using flash cards or a homemade list of the facts. Study at least 15 minutes Monday through Friday on the multiplication facts.
  • Read story of the week every day.

Please add more study time if you notice that your child cannot answer questions about Spelling, multiplication, or the Reading selections. Your help is greatly appreciated!! I look forward to working with your child this school year.

Thank you,
