North Grammar Elementary believes grandparents are a vital part in the upbringing and support given to their grandchildren which helps them to be successful students. For that reason we celebrated a successful Grandparent's Day Program to honor them. Rio Grande City Mayor Kevin Hiles read the proclamation, followed by our guest speaker Ruben Villarreal, Mayor Pro-Temp. Kinder, 1st and 3rd grade students delighted them with three performances. At the end of the program, Grandparents were treated to refreshments. The program is being aired on our local channel (12).

North Grammar Elementary had its first successful Meet The Teacher Night and PTO Meeting. Rules and regulations were reviewed by the principal followed by PTO Officer elections. Over 300 parents attended this function where they were able to meet their children's teachers and check their academic progress.
