Ringgold Middle School congratulates three TMSCA (Texas Math and Science Coaches Association) state qualifiers: Jahziel Rico for Science (8th grade), Abel Barrientos for Number Sense (6th grade), and Luis Gonzalez for Mathematics and Number Sense (6th grade). State competition will be held at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Students participating in this event compete against other state qualifiers. This is a huge achievement on their part for having exerted a strong effort and dedication to succeed in these events. It is with great pride that RMS is sending these talented individuals to represent Rio Grande City CISD. To show support and encouragement, their peers hosted a pep rally in their honor. Fellow UIL contestants expressed boisterous shouts to congratulate the boys, whom they already consider winners.

Ringgold Middle School UIL team competed at the Ringgold Middle School UIL District

32-4A Meet on Friday & Saturday, March 30 & 31, 2012. Students excelled in their perspective competition area. 6th, 7th & 8th grade students were competitive and achieved the 2nd Place Sweepstakes accolade. We are very proud of our UIL Team and their coaches. We value and appreciate all the hard work and dedication to the success that is put forth so that the RMS UIL Program can shine. A special thanks to all the UIL parents and RMS administration, faculty & staff for their continous support and commitmment.

RMS Celebrates Texas Librarian's Week

Ringgold Middle School congratulates our school librarian, Mrs. Adriana Gutierrez, and her staff, Mrs. Severita Guerra and Ms. Terry Alvarez, for their valuable contribution to the academic success of our students. Mrs. Gutierrez has dedicated most of her adult life serving the needs of pupils and teachers in several campuses, most especially Ringgold Middle School where she is still head librarian. She and her staff are quick to respond to teacher and student requests for books and instructional materials. For such a long and dedicated service to our campus, we salute Mrs. Adriana Gutierrez and her staff.
