Principal’s Message

It is a sincere pleasure to welcome you to the 2007-2008 school year. We are looking forward to a very challenging and exciting school year in 2007-2008. We had an excellent school year last year. I would like to congratulate the students, parents and staff for making Ringgold Middle School a TEA Recognized Campus and “One of the Best Public Schools in Texas ” as Texas Monthly honored us. Our goals are even higher this school year. We will continue to show gains and maintain our Recognized rating or achieve Exemplary.

A new school year presents opportunities for various beginnings, new personnel, new classes, and new friends. It also provides the opportunity to make new plans, designs, strategies, and implement new ideas.

Education at Ringgold Middle School is designed to meet the needs of each individual student. The administration and staff firmly believe that every child is a unique and special individual who Can and Will Learn. We believe that it is our responsibility to serve as facilitators for the nurturing and developing of every child’s maximum potential; academically, physically, socially and emotionally. We are committed to providing opportunities which will enable the students in making self-directed, realistic and responsible decisions when solving problems that may confront them in our ever- changing world.

Ultimately, each student will gain from education according to the effort he/she applies. In order to increase the degree of educations success, it is very important that teachers, parents, and administrators communicate openly and frequently concerning the progress of students. This year will also be a very challenging school year for everyone. It is critical that we will all work together to ensure academic success for All students. We need your support in all of our endeavors. We will have after school tutorials starting in September from Monday through Thursday. Please help ensure that your child is present everyday and that he/she stays for tutorials.

We all want the best for your children, but we are not enough. You, the parent / guardian, must play a key role in the education of your children. Your words of encouragement, a hug when the day has been rough, your interest in your children’s work, and your presence at school are vital!

Parents count! Come to school, meet us, talk to us and volunteer your time and energy. Your involvement will show your children that you value their education.

Let’s work together to build a better future for your child. Let’s make Ringgold Middle School an Exemplary Campus. Together We Can Accomplish More.

Sincerely,

Adolfo Peña, Jr., Principal
