January 4th – Monday

  • Back to school rules

1.)  Enter the room promptly and quietly, ready to learn.

2.)  Bring all needed materials/assignments to class.

3.)  Follow directions the first time they are given.

4.)  Remain seated, and raise your hand to speak.

5.)  Respect your classmates and teachers, including their property.

Depending on the class assignment or activity (ex:  cooperative learning and computer work), additional rules may be added--so, be flexible. 

 

 

 

  • Classroom expectations
    • writing notes down as the teacher lectures
    • reading questions when called upon

    • Every other Wednesday we will have a mini-assessment
    • These assessments will count as test/quiz grades in class

 

  • Time on Task
    • Must always be on task
    • We will start as soon as the bell rings and work all the way until the end of the period
    • We don’t have any time to spare

 

  • Attendance (importance of being in school everyday due to curriculum we are going to follow)

Algebra provides tools and ways of thinking that are necessary for solving problems in a wide variety of disciplines, such as science, business, social sciences, fine arts, and technology.  This course will assist students in developing skills and processes to be applied using a variety of techniques to successfully solve problems in a variety of settings.
