The Rio Grande City CISD Board of Trustees were recently selected as the Regional Board of the Year for 2008 for Region One ESC. Out of all the regional boards selected five boards were selected as Honor Boards for 2008 and the RGCCISD Board of Trustee are one of those five. The Honor Boards will be interviewed by TASA's School Board Awards Committee on September 26, 2008 to select the Texas School Board of the Year.
